AUSTIN, Texas – Senior Attila Bucko’s run at the 2009 Texas Invitational came to an end Saturday afternoon when the lefty dropped his semifinal match against Texas’ Dimitar Kutrovsky.

Bucko, the tournament’s No. 4 seed, got behind Kutrovsky, the tournament’s No. 1 seed, early and never recovered losing in straight sets 6-1, 6-4. Bucko is the 85th ranked player and Kutrovsky is the No. 6 player in the ITA preseason rankings.

To get to the semifinals Bucko took care of Daniel Whitehead of Texas 6-1, 6-2 in quarterfinal action Saturday morning.

The 1-1 day gives Bucko a fall record of 8-6.

Baylor’s final fall tennis action will take place next week as junior Jordan Rux takes part in the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in West Haven, Conn, Nov.5-8.
